5040 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA 90601. The trailhead has a small parking lot. Located next to Rose Hills in Whittier, this trail starts just south of the memorial park, and runs into the hills for a couple miles.
Then, it gets a little weird. A couple trails that lead to the Skyline trail, but only one is accessible, and it’s steep. So we stayed on the main trail, and turned around and returned to the parking lot.
The trail is mostly exposed and sunny, with a babbling creek that’s not sheltering you from the sun. Some parts are green and shaded when the trail intersects with the watershed. Overall, an easy urban hike.
