Program the 99 Cents Only Store, Momentum Brands, 8 Device Universal Remote Control 60-689199

I found one of these, model number 60-689199, at home, but had lost the manual. Some web searches didn’t turn up a copy of the manual, so, I decided to try and rectify that problem. Another unit was found at the 99 Cents Only Store, and I bought it (for $1.99).

I suspect there are thousands of these remotes out there. This page will help keep them functional.

To program the remote, you push the device button or the “set” button until the LED stays on. Then, you can either enter the code from the manual, and then press channel up to test it — it’ll shut off the device, OR press channel up to scan the possible codes until the device shuts off. When the correct code is found, press the “set” button to complete programming that button.

Description: 47 button, red power button, blue control pad, blue OK button, red set button, gray number buttons, eight 8 blue device buttons along the bottom. tv vcr cable sat dvd aux amp cd

  1. I have this remote, usually my 24 reprograms it. We have a shut me tv. Currently tv is not turning on from remote. Tried manually though tv. but because remote is not working( even changed batteries) nothing is working. Is there help? Tech challanged

  2. Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?|

  3. I have just bought it and thought it did not work and was about to throw it away. But the remote does work. Read the instructions on how to program it. It may take a little bit of patience but you will get it to work. the easiest way is to press the”set” till the light comes on solid and then press the Channel up till the device turns off then hit the “set” button again, that easy.

  4. OMG thank you! Same thing I can’t find those damn instructions anywhere. Can’t beat a $2 remote that works just fine!

  5. I wish to sincerely thank you for your post. It still boggles my mind how civilization made it as far as it did before Google 😉 The LAST thing I needed was yet another (useless) remote.
I appreciate your time and clear dedication to assisting others.

    1. Mine just worked. Just look at your TV brand and just try all the 4 digit code above. I did that. Just follow the instruction. 1) press {set} button until the red stay on. Then just input the 4 digit code. try all. then where {ok} button move your channel.
      Good luck!

  6. Finally found a remote that works with my 30 year old Technics receiver, replacing the original remote that broke long ago. Have to manually press the buttons on the amp for vcr1 and 2 for tv volume through the system, but everything else like CD, Tape, etc. work with some odd buttons, but once you know, it’s all good.

  7. to terra…..if u have trouble programming the chip it may have been corrupted from the constant attempts. pull the batteries for 30secs to clear any corruption, then try again and follow the instructions carefully.

  8. I was using my Universal for three years and now OFF/On is not working so I got new one for $1.99 now and finds out there was no code/program paper. Thanks.

  9. There’s no code for the RCA TV/DVD 32in, how can I get that code? Entering the code manually doesn’t work….(using the channel+ method)

  10. Needed a copy of the manual to avoid having to scan it in…instead of trying to read that tiny type. You saved me time and made it easier.
